The second round of the site visits for the project of “Scrutinizing ICZM studies in the coastlines of Hormozgan province” has been conducted and successfully wrapped up. Department of ports and coastal engineering has reported that second visiting mission of the study team working on the project of “Scrutinizing ICZM studies in the coastlines of Hormozgan province” has been carried out as per the project’s time table.
This 10-day site visit started on October 26 and finished on November 5, 2015. During this visit the consultants could complete the previously gathered data, verify some of the issues, and hold a number of meetings with the local authorities and stake-holders in order to hear their view and concerns and become familiar with their visions and strategies for development of each of the coastal counties along the long coastlines of the Hormozgan province. The visited coastal counties were Jask, Sirik, Minaab, Bandar Abbas, Khamir, Lengeh, and Parsian.
